It has been such a delightful summer at Village 7 Swim Club since its resurrection. At the grand re-opening pool party and BBQ, we had over 200 people stop by to see the pool, share memories, and toast to celebrate this triumph. The Gazette was there taking pictures capturing every moment of joy on children's faces. Then through swim lessons, so many young children learned to love being in the water as they established foundational swim skills. We've had friends and families gather for birthday parties and family picnics. One of our lifeguards even had her senior pictures taken here! In August, our first Dive In Movie Night was a huge hit. Almost 100 people came out to swim. As the sun set and the movie started, families and kids got into their pajamas and snuggled up in lounge chairs to watch Despicable Me under the stars. Our last day open will be Labor Day where we will wrap up the summer, savor one final swim, and say our goodbyes until next season. As John Steinbeck said, "What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness?"
